Our casts often include actors from outside the Oberon Theatre Ensemble. Here are people who joined us in the 2009 productions ofAmerican Rapture and Much Ado About Nothing, and the 2008 productions ofMacbeth and Ghost on Fire. Actors are listed alphabetically so keep scrolling!

Claire Anderson

Fleance, Macbeth
CLAIRE ANDERSON is 12 years old. She dreams of a future as a playwright; for now, she is happy to be playing Fleance. She dances at the Astoria Dance Centre and takes voice and piano. She wants to thank Dad and Mom for driving her everywhere, her brothers Sam and Henry for putting up with her, Tony and Maureen from ADC, and Grace Pettijohn, her voice teacher. She is a 7th grader at the Renaissance Charter School in Jackson Heights.

Philip Atlakson

DIRECTOR, Macbeth
PHILLIP ATLAKSON has written for Paramount Pictures, Robert Redford, and 20th Century Fox Studios. He wrote and directed the award-winning independent feature, Not This Part of the World, and two short films, which have played numerous film festivals as well as cable channels. Phil recently directed his newest play, A Buddhist HIistory of the United States, at Boise State University. He has directed several of his own plays in New York, including The Ascetic, Leapfrog Through Time and Space, and The Rehearsal. Phil has appeared in several independent feature films, and numerous theater roles in the west. He is the recipient of numerous awards, grants, fellowships, and residencies. Phil heads the Dramatic Writing Program at Boise State University, and has been a member of the Writers Guild of America – West, since 1997.

Brianne Berkson

Laurel, Gina, Nurse Ghost on Fire
BRIANNE BERKSON is thrilled to be embraced by the Oberon Ensemble family. A native New Yorker, Brianne recently finished a show with Stamford Center for the Arts and a NYC Off Broadway production, Absolute Clarity. She just wrapped three films and is excited to be starting work on a new web-series In the Now. A proud member of AEA, SAG, and AFTRA, Brianne would like to thank her family and friends, her beams of light, love and support.

Don Castro

Borachio, Much Ado About Nothing
DON CASTRO is a Philippine-born actor based in New York City. Theatre credits include performances at The Public Theater ( Ten /2nd Generation), LaMama ETC ( Parang Sabil /Ellen Stewart, co-dir.), and with the award-winning Desipina & Company (Seven.11 Convenience Theatre). Jordan Brown

Claudio, Much Ado About Nothing
Jordan studied acting at North Carolina School of the Arts. Through a NCSA showcase, Jordan landed an agent in NYC, and has been on the audition circuit for the past year. This was Jordan's first performance with Oberon Theatre Ensemble. Jordan would like to thank Mark Karafin, Nancy Brown, and Jeffrey Brown for their faith, love, and support.

Sarah Ecton-Lutrell

Daughter/Young Siward, Macbeth
This is Sarah's debut with The Oberon Theater Ensemble. Recent roles include Portia in Julius Caesar and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing with the Inwood Shakespeare Festival, as well as Penelope in Dibble Does Christmas in NY with Broken Watch Theatre Co., Little Lulu in The Liberation of Little Lulu at Theater for the New City, and Susan in First in Flight with Theaterworks USA. She was a singer/dancer for several years with Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra (The Rainbow Room) and band leader for Tallulah Starr (featured on Washington DC's Smooth Jazz and Hober.com internet radio.) Craig Fitzpatrick

Tom Cooper, Ghost on Fire
Craig is excited to be working with Oberon. New York work includes at least eight original plays at Vital Theatre, as well as works with Partial Comfort, Boy Howdy! Productions, The Peculiar Works Project, Confluence, The Village Playwrights, Red Fern Theatre Company, OCYC (sketch comedy) and voice-overs for Good Yarn. Regional roles from playing in Hamlet at Nebraska Shakespeare Festival to Vampire Lesbians of Sodom at the Blue Barn Theatre. Thanks Jennifer.

John Gardner

In 2008 John played Macbeth in Oberon's production of Macbeth. He has lived and worked in New York City for the past eight years. John Gardner is a graduate of the Catholic University of America. Past projects have included I Google Myself, The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Buccaneer, Danton’s Death, Slagheap, and Antigone. Past film work: Double Exile; Black Eyed Susan.

Vince Gatton

American Rapture
Vince Gatton (Jack – Juggling Jacqueline) most recently appeared at Barrington Stage Company in the Berkshires in the one-man plays I Am My Own Wife and Fully Committed. He received a 2006 Drama Desk nomination as Best Actor in David Johnston's critically-acclaimed Candy and Dorothy at Theater Three, and is a Repeat Offender with the Blue Coyote Theater Group. Jennifer Gawlik

Margaret, Much Ado About Nothing
This is Jennifer Gawlik's first show with Oberon. In New York she has worked with The Pearl Theatre Company, Milk Can Theatre Company, Handcart Ensemble and Project:Theatre. Regional credits include The Time Of Your Life at the The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Skin Of Our Teeth at the Chautauqua Theatre Company, Proof at The Winnipesaukee Playhouse, Edgardo Mine and The Trip To Bountiful at Hartford Stage and The Skin Of Our Teeth at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Allison Goldberg

2nd Weird Sister in Macbeth
ALLISON GOLDBERG is making her Oberon Theatre Ensemble debut. After graduating from Yale in 2006, Allison performed in Cinderella's Mice at the Vital Children's Theatre, then moved to Disney World to sing and dance in the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. Favorite productions at Yale Drama include The Nature and Purpose of the Universe, Pirates of Penzance, Sister Mary Ignatius Explains..., Into The Woods, and The Boy Jumped Into the Sea. Allison's new theater company, Lively Productions, which she co-founded with fellow Yalie Lisa Siciliano, had its debut performance in December. Bill Green

Much Ado About Nothing - Verges/Friar Francis
Bill Green is thrilled to be working with Oberon again, having done Taming of the Shrew and The Miser in Oberon's early years. Other favorite credits include Bruno in Krankenhause Blues, Pete in Clucky the Brave Little Hen and various roles in Boomerang Theater's evening of Stoppard one acts.

Rand Guerrero

Roles include Cyrano, Frederick Treves (The Elephant Man), Pizarro (The Royal Hunt of the Sun), Salieri (amadeus), Sparger (Kennedy's Children), Cpt Bluntchli (Arms and the Man), Thomas Dunne (Stewrd of Christendom), The Duke (Big River), Mr. Peachum (Threepenny Opera), Henry (The Real Thing), and Harpagon (The Miser). Sharon Huizinga

Lighting designer for Oberon's 2008 Macbeth, Sharon designs lighting for both theatre and music. Credits include: Lighting Design for Diana Krall ’s 2007 "From this Moment On" Tour, Lighting Direction for Norah Jones ’ 2003 Summer Tour, Asst. Head of Lighting for Cirque du Soleil ’s Dralion. Credits also include: Lighting Design for I am my Own Wife- The Belfry Theatre (Victoria), The Red Priest, and Mary’s Wedding- The Globe Theatre (Regina), Sleuth, Richmond Gateway Theatre, Canada Games 2005, Cymbeline Bard on the Beach (Vancouver), Caucasian Chalk Circle and You Can’t Take It With You- Studio 58 (Vancouver). She designed Oberon’s 2007 productions of Merry Wives of Windsor and Sweet Love Adieu.

Lara Ianni

Ursula, Much Ado About Nothing
Lara originally hails from Rochester, NY where she’s worked extensively with Geva Theatre and Blackfriars Theatre. Here in Manhattan she was seen in Loves Labours Need Directions with the Stolen Chair Theatre Company, and has spent the past two summers as a member of the performance company at the New York Renaissance Faire, where she recently played the title role in Lysistrata. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College.

Cliff Jewell

Captain, Macbeth
Cliff Jewell (A.E.A., SAG) Local credits include Clive in Cloud 9, Detective Cole in Stop, Kiss, and Friar Lawrence in Romeo & Juliet. Regional credits include Oedipus in Oedipus Tyrannus, Tranio in Taming of the Shrew, Bassov in Summerfolk, Gunner in Misalliance and Mark Twain in Sam Clemens and the Real Mark Twain. TV credits include Law & Order and Parco PI. Cliff’s numerous fight choreographies include Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Othello and West Side Story.

Jake Lacy

Conrad, Much Ado About Nothing
Jake is excited and filled with gratitude to be working with the Oberon Theater Ensemble. He has previously been seen in Breadloaf Theater Ensemble's Arcadia (Gus/Augustus), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Proteus) at the Roanoke Theater Festival, Chip on Guiding Light and Demetrius in Hartford Stage's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Jake would like to thank Mark, the cast, Mom, Dad and Mack. Jake is a graduate of The North Carolina School of the Arts.

David McLellan

DAVID MCLELLAN is thrilled to be joining the Oberon Theatre Ensemble for the first time. Regional credits include Deaf West's Big River at Ford's Theatre, Steel Pier at the Cape Rep Theatre, Summer of '42 at the Round House Theatre, Legends From The Iroquois at the Capital Repertory Theatre, A Wonderful Life at the Surflight Theatre, and many others. This spring, David will be joining the Kennedy Center's national tour of Katie Couric's The Brand New Kid.

Donovan Patton

American Rapture- Jeffrey/Sean/Host
Credits include The Drama League's Director Fest, Vineyard Theatre, True History and Real Adventures . Regional: The Hartford Stage Company, Our Town, and the Hangar Theatre The Complete History of America(abridged), and Romeo and Juliet. Donovan is a six-time veteran actor and one-time producer of the A-Train Plays (Playwrights Horizons, New World Stages). He is also known for playing Joe on Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues (Daytime Emmy nomination). Donovan is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre.

Jonathan Pereira

Seyton, Macbeth
JONATHAN PEREIRA recently moved to New York from Chicago. Selected Chicago credits: Macbeth and Comedy of Errors (Chicago Shakespeare), Say You Love Satan, Strictly Dishonorable, Charlie Chaplin in the world premiere of Lady Chaplin and Her Tramp, Abingdon Square, title roles in Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, The Moon’s the Madonna, Taming of the Shrew, Julius Caesar, Midsummer Nights Dream. Selected NYC credits: 365 Days/365 Plays (Public / Rising Phoenix Rep), Slipping (Rattlestick), The Mound Builders (Sackett Group), and Cassiopeia at the Workshop Theatre, where he is also a member. Jonathan is the writer and performer of two solo shows, Tastes Like Chicken and American Cake, which he has performed widely. Adam Petherbridge is happy to make his New York debut with The Oberon Theatre Ensemble’s Much Ado. A recent graduate of Kenyon College, Adam has played numerous roles, but will be giving Shakespeare a shot for the first time in this production. Thanks to everyone with Oberon and all those who have helped him get this far. Adam is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Lorenzo Scott

Leonato, Much Ado About Nothing
LORENZO SCOTT can been seen in various commercials from Cablevision to the very popular American Express. He recently appeared in the holiday commercial for Walmart/Coke: Extended Family. Regional Theatre: You Can't Take It With You, Huck Finn, and The Exonerated. Lorenzo will soon be seen in the upcoming feature film comedy/drama Sneakers and Soul.

Philip Watt

Watch, Much Ado About Nothing
Philip Watt played Colin in Two Weeks with the Queen in its American debut at the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati. Other roles include John from The Lion in Winter, Boy in Waiting for Godot, Leslie the hostage in The Hostage, John Huff in Dandelion Wine at Burbank Center Stage and Crookfinger Jake in The Threepenny Opera at UCLA's mainstage with Theodore Bikel as Mr. Peachum. He is a graduate of Cincinnati's Conservatory of Music (CCM) and Bard College. He teaches Acting for Teens at the Jason Bennett Actor's Workshop. Member AEA.

Paula Wilson

1st Weird Sister, Macbeth
PAULA WILSON is a graduate of Walnut Hill School for the Arts (Design and Production), Pomona College (Dance and Theatre Management), The New School University (Screenwriting and Third World Cinema), and the Alvin Ailey School Professional Division. As an actor/dancer, Paula is a member of Loco7, a company in residence at LaMaMa, ETC in New York. She recurs on the ABC soap opera All My Children as Nurse Jeri. She played principal roles in the films Death of a B-boy, Grass Under Ground, Can't Keep a Dead Man Down, Baby Come Back, Elected, and Life's Passing Me By. She recently performed with Fluid Motion Theater and Film at the Kirk, This Woman's Work Theater Company, Loco7 at LaMaMa, and Rising Circle Theater Collective. She has danced in ads and music videos, and Paula's most recent projects are The Mixed Girl Monologues, a one woman show about growing up mixed race in America that she wrote, choreographed, and directed; and the sci-fi series Pied which she has written and is producing and directing. Cotton is delighted to be joining Oberon Theatre Ensemble. She has worked with several Independent Theater companies in New York City including Flux Theatre Ensemble, King's County Shakespeare Company, Gideon Productions, Artistic New Directions, Two Guys & A Credit Card and Milk Can Theatre. Some of her favorite regional theater credits include Twelfth Night (Viola), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Julia), Steel Magnolias (Shelby), Oklahoma (Laurey) and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (Sally).
