Just Completed a Run at Theatre Row

directed by Cara Reichel
"...a quality production that is lean and taut."
"Blood delivers a performance that is specific, ethereal and intoxicating."
"The Oberon production offers excellent performances and amplifies the drama with gorgeous musicality."
"Cara Reichel very competently directs an accessible, naturalistic interpretation of the tale. . . . Her use of Ann Bartek’s minimalist set... is ingenious."

"This Othello is fresh, and the acting is, overall, quite compelling"
Sarah V. Schweig, The Happiest Medium
"...a poetic staging with splendid, artful designs...Othello at Oberon Theatre Ensemble is a good and intelligent production. Get thee to the theatre."
nytheatre.com review Andre Lancaster · June 4, 2010
"the staging, sets and lights were terrific. The use of Whitney Kam Lee as a sort of narrative violinist and Rene “Cucusun” Reyes on the drums was a stroke of genius. The use of ropes draped in various configurations to define the playing areas was terrific."
